An Important Announcement from Ohio Cat

Dear Valued Customer,

As you are aware, rising fuel costs are having a huge impact on our industry. Ohio CAT has resisted seeking price relief as long as we possibly could. In an effort to control our “permanent” charge rates to our customers, we have implemented a fuel surcharge effective May 16, 2022.

Our pricing will be based on data provided by the U.S. Department of Energy Information Administration, Midwest (https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/pet) We will review our pricing on a regular basis, adjusting monthly as required. The fuel surcharge will remain separate from our pricing for goods and services, and it will be shown as a separate entry on your invoice when possible.

The fuel surcharge expense will be an additional charge per mile, which will recover our increased fuel cost per gallon over the base rate of $3.477, which was the cost per gallon of fuel as of January 3rd 2022. The fuel surcharge per mile is the increase per gallon divided by the average miles per gallon of our truck fleet.

For delivery related charges, an estimate will be made based on miles driven and the combination of the number of customers on a delivery route. By estimating in this way, we can provide the lowest possible cost to all customers.

Ohio CAT will continue to review the situation and attempt to find new ways to efficiently manage diesel fuel usage and expenses to avoid passing those costs on to our customers.

We appreciate your business, and we will make every effort possible to reduce the fuel surcharge as quickly as the market allows us to do so.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your local Ohio CAT location at anytime.

Sincerely,

Ohio CAT Management
